Chemical properties
Crystallized from water-ethanol. [α] D23 + 86.8 ° (C = 0.05, 0.1 mol/L, phosphate buffer, Ph = 7). pKal is about 3.2 and pKa2 is about 9.9. UV maximum absorption (water): 299 nm (ε 9680, 98% hydroxylamine extraction). Solubility (mg/m1): water 10, methanol 5, ethanol 0.2, acetone <0.1, dimethylformamide <0.1, dimethyl sulfoxide 0.3.
Uses
Carbapenem-based extended-spectrum β-lactam antibiotics, which are semi-synthetic derivatives of thimycin, have antibacterial spectrum and action similar to that of thimycin, but are more stable than thienamycin. It is not cross-resistant with other antibiotics, but is easily damaged by renal peptidase, so it is often used in combination with a renal peptidase inhibitor (such as cilastatin sodium). Stable to β-lactamase. For urinary tract infections, lower respiratory tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, digestive system infections, osteomyelitis, prostatitis, bacteremia, etc.
